Quality Control Tec

Position Summary:
The Quality Control Technician is expected to work collaboratively with all team members to facilitate quality of work, process improvement, and uphold business initiatives. They will be responsible for everything metrology, such as CMM Programming, Laser Scanning, FAI paperwork, customer specified documentation, material analysis, etc. in an ISO:9001 environment.
 
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Program and Operate Zeiss CMM w/ Calypso software
Program and Operate Faro Arm w/ Geomagic, Control X, and Solidworks software’s.

Inspect Parts, Fixtures, Products, etc.

Create FAI’s, ballooned reports, SCAR, PPAP’s, reports and presentations as needed.

Assist sales with creating project estimates and plans.

Willing to work extended hours if needed on high priority projects.

Root Cause Analysis.

All other duties as assigned.
 
Qualifications & Skill Sets:
Knowledge and ability to work within GD&T/Y14.5M standards.
Proficient in computer software such as Calypso, Geomagic, Solidworks, and MS Office.
Strong organizational, time management, and verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
US Citizen or eligible to work with ITAR & CUI and pass a background check.
 
Working Conditions:
Able to lift up to 50lbs.
Able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment for the environment.
Generally, in an metrology lab, Additive Manufacturing lab, and machine shop environments.
  
Requirements:
Associate degree or equivalent hands on experience of 2-5 years hand on experience in a manufacturing Quality Control position.
Quality certification(s) preferred.
Lean Six Sigma preferred.
CMM and/or laser scanning certification(s) preferred.
